NOTE: TIME IS TBA, DEPENDANT ON OPENREACH INSTALLATION. NOTICE WILL BE SENT IN SLACK AHEAD OF THIS MAINTENANCE WINDOW.

On Monday, the 5th of June, the CAS broadband service will be upgraded to a 1000/110 fibre optic circuit.
Openreach have confirmed the civil engineering work is complete and the fibres are in place ready for splicing and connection on 5/03/23.

As the shared drive server is located in the CAS office, these drives will be unavailable during the maintenance window as Triarom engineers migrate the service onto the new fibre optic broadband connection.

This maintenance is expected to take no longer than 1 hour.

Ahead of the maintenance window it's important to save and close any documents you have open on the shared drive to ensure no data is lost, and to avoid crashing applications such as Word that may be using files on the shared drive.

This maintenance window does not affect your access to the TDS desktop itself.

Following this maintenance, the connection between the CAS shared drive server and the TDS platform will be much faster, which will greatly improve the performance of the shared drive from your TDS desktop.

An additional maintenance window will be created once the internet circuit is known to be stable, which will route TDS internet traffic (primarily CAS Management and gov.uk) via CAS' broadband connection, though this work will be performed out of operating hours.
